Lead Pastor: Matt Larson 
Pastor Matt Larson came to the Spokane Valley August 2006 and loves being back in Spokane. He graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!), and attended seminary at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA.
He has been a Pastor for 12 years, ministering in rural and town & country churches. He has been involved with music, youth ministry, and campus ministry, and also has been involved with ecumenical ministries on a local and national level.
Pastor Matt loves worship that is both traditional and spontaneous, and also contemporary in a way that says, “That makes sense, today!”
He was the Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (one of the consolidated congregations of Advent) and has now become the first called Pastor of Advent Lutheran Church.
