Tomorrow night is our ‘Come to Friday’ dinner, serving between 5-6pm. Come and enjoy a delicious meal cooked by Terry and his crew, or you may take it home to enjoy. Tomorrow night’s dinner is ham, pasta alfredo, a vegetable and a roll.

As a reminder, as Pastor Matt and his family are out of town for Kristin’s mother’s memorial service,  Vicar Brendan will be preaching. This will be a ‘Service of the Word’ worship service and there will be no communion.

Sunday is our ‘Quilt Sunday’ and three quilts will be raffled off. The quilters have displayed their beautiful quilts on all the pews and around the altar in the sanctuary. This is always a very special Sunday to see all the quilts. So much work and love has been sewn into each quilt.

The Happy Piecemakers offer their beautiful quilts for sale for $50 each.  If you interested in purchasing a quilt, please make checks payable to Advent Lutheran Church and place in the offering, with one of the quilters, or leave your check with the church office).  The Happy Piecemakers will be shipping the quilts this next Friday. They have made 115 quilts, 4 Baby Care Kits, and 9 additional quilts to be given to Medical Lake.

Also, this next Sunday, May 4th, Advent will host a blood drive from 8:30 am-11:30 am. The blood bank is in great need of donors! If you are able, please consider donating.  Questions? Contact Julie Meyers-Lehman. We have a sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex or you may sign up anytime online at vitalant.org.

Spokane Indians are once again offering ‘Faith Nights’ at their stadium. Advent Lutheran has a reservation for Saturday, May 10th, 6:35 pm. These are Upper Box Seats and the cost is $13 per ticket.  You may call Drew Fryling, Group Ticket  Coordinator, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm at 509-343-6804 to purchase your tickets. Spokane Indians will be playing the Vancouver Canadians and its Family Feast & Fireworks Night. It should be a great evening!

And lastly, this Sunday is our ‘Fill the Shelf’ Sunday. This is your opportunity to bring your extra canned goods, or whatever you would like to donate, to ‘Fill the Shelf’ at our local food bank, Spokane Valley Partners. We have a donation collection barrel in the Narthex.

See you on Sunday!
