Thank you to Kathy Piper for taking pictures for our updated pictorial directory.  If you did not get a chance to do this you can still take a picture and email it to Cheryl.  Kathy will be installing a unified background for all the pictures.

This Sunday Vicar Brendan will be preaching and presiding at worship here at Advent as Pastor Matt will be preaching and presiding at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.  ECOR still has not been able to find a priest for their parish.

We pray for the families of the firefighters who were shot this last Sunday.

Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood and Coeur d’Alene Fire Department Battalion Chief John Morrison were killed and CDAFD Engineer Dave Tysdal (whose family goes to Trinity Lutheran in CDA) is recovering from near fatal shots.  We will be including them in our prayers on Sunday.

Bikes, Brews, and Bible will meet at Emry’s today at 5:30pm for a ride and devotion after.

A reminder that the church office and child center will be closed Friday the 4th and Monday the 7th.

As you all celebrate the 4th this weekend, have fun and be safe!  And let the words: God shed His grace on thee ring out in your ears and heart.
