Things are heating up!  Not only temperature wise but those fires that have started and are spreading.  Please pray for all the affected families and the responders!

Ready for a summer meal?

The Ladies Lunch returns to the Max this Saturday. Starts at 11:30 am.

Roger Scheuer wishes to give his thanks for all the cards and words of encouragement during and after his heart attack.

The City Council selected Terry Powell as this month’s recipient of the You Rock! Community Recognition Program.  If anyone from the church is interested in being there when Terry gets the award from the Deputy Mayor, it will be presented at the City Council meeting at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15 at City Hall (10210 E Sprague). Meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome.

Having been with our Episcopal brothers and sisters I thought I would leave you with this nice prayer on recreation  and refreshment from the Book of Common Prayer (The worship book of the ECUSA).

O God, in the course of this busy life, give us times of

refreshment and peace; and grant that we may so use our

leisure to rebuild our bodies and renew our minds, that our

spirits may be opened to the goodness of your creation;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Blessings,

Pastor Matt
