Don’t forget to change your clocks on Saturday night!  Fall back one hour.

On Sunday morning we will not only by remembering those who have died in the last year for All Saints Sunday but we will be baptizing 4, yes 4 wonderful people during the service.  Wow, it’s going to be a great Sunday!

And speaking of great, we will be helping Pastor Holly Gunby celebrate her 25th Anniversary of her ordination.  Come out and help us lift up her ministry to Providence Hospital and to Advent!!

Thank you everyone for your help and support of the Happy Helpers breakfast and applesauce sale!  They raised over $1200.  If you did not get a chance to purchase some applesauce, or you have run out….you can still buy some!

Cheryl will be out of the office on Friday Oct. 30th.

Pastor Phil Misner, our Assistant to the Bishop, will be with us on Sunday morning.  He will be presiding at the table and sharing with  us a few words on what is happening in our synod and beyond.

We give you thanks, O God, for all the saints who ever worshiped you

Whether in brush arbors or cathedrals,

Weathered wooden churches or crumbling cement meeting houses

Where your name was lifted and adored.

We give you thanks, O God, for hands lifted in praise:

Manicured hands and hands stained with grease or soil,

Strong hands and those gnarled with age

Holy hands

Used as wave offerings across the land.

We thank you, God, for hardworking saints;

Whether hard-hatted or steel-booted,

Head ragged or aproned,

Blue-collared or three-piece-suited

They left their mark on the earth for you, for us, for our children to come.

Thank you, God, for the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have gone before us.

Bless the memories of your saints, God.

May we learn how to walk wisely from their examples of faith, dedication, worship, and love.

 Blessings,

Pastor Matt
